Atlas
An atlas you learn by playing.
There's a difference between recognising a landmark and knowing where it stands, and Bussola exists to close that gap. Inside is an offline atlas of the world: countries arranged by continent, each with its capital, its flag, its region and the landmarks that make it worth knowing.
Open a country and it's laid out plainly. Tap a landmark for a short note in ordinary language: what it is, and which city it belongs to. Star the places and countries you want to hold onto and they gather in one list for review.
Borders, capital cities and place names are disputed in parts of the world. Bussola uses the names in common English use and doesn't take a side in any of those arguments.
Play
The Play hub turns the same atlas into quick, replayable rounds:
Every answer, right or wrong, shows you the correct fact before moving on, so playing doubles as learning. Best scores and longest streaks are kept per mode, and a progress view shows how much of the world you've picked up. Search cuts straight through the atlas when you have a country, a capital or a landmark in mind, and the journal keeps a running record of what you've answered, what you've marked as learned, and where the gaps still are.

Working out
Pick two capitals. The globe draws the shortest real route between them, the great circle, and beside it the route you'd get by holding one compass bearing the whole way, the rhumb line, which is the straight line on a school-room Mercator map. The distances are computed here, from the cities' coordinates.
What's not here: no countries, no flags, no landmarks and no quiz. The globe is bare graticule, not a map, and the maths treats Earth as a perfect sphere of radius 6 371 km, ignoring its bulge, winds and the fact that no aircraft flies a naked great circle. The atlas itself is in the app.
On paper
Found a capital out of date, a flag redrawn since we shipped, or a landmark note that misses the point? Send the country and what's wrong. Those corrections go into the next build.
